The MP, who has accused local entertainment business the Tiger Group of running southern Thailand’s biggest casino “with a turnover of B100 million a day” was due to arrive in Phuket today (April 12) with members of the Parliamentary Police Commission.
He also alleged that there are other casinos in Chalong, Phuket City and Thung Tong in Kathu.
But with the alarm over a possible tsunami yesterday (April 11) it was decided to put the visit off.
The police source said that Mr Chuwit had confirmed that he still plans to come to Phuket for his casino hunt, but no definite date has yet been set.
